Elegant Home in Ligonier, PA

Janice Frye, Interior Designer

This design project was all about updating the color tones, organization of every room and adding a lot of new pieces to make this home even more elegant. Janice was instrumental in the original decor of this project and was asked to return to assist the owner with updating and creating new fresh layers.

This elegant house is nestled in a gorgeous wood setting and Janice brought the outdoors inside with a lot of pieces inspired by nature.

This major transformation and organizational project occurred while the home owner was away. Janice stayed grounded and was able to complete this project by the deadline so the owner could return home and host several social events.

This project was designed to celebrate familiar warmth, yet update and organize in such a way to create calmness for this home owner and this was truly accomplished.

When you are ready for your own transformation or organization, please contact Janice Frye at Rustic Lodge Furniture by calling 412-756-8300.

Janice Frye, Interior Designer

This story started when the homeowner decided to do an extreme makeover on her home in Seven Springs. She attempted to do the project herself when she realized she was way over her head and panicked. Her daughter saved the day when she researched a designer in the Laurel Highlands and contacted Janice.

Janice worked closely with the Ohio homeowner via texts and calls to create her vision. When the design project was completed, Janice hosted an unveiling for the homeowner and her family. This story had a very happy ending because the client loved that her vision came true!

Log Home in Pittsburgh, PA

Janice Frye, Interior Designer

This spacious log home is nestled in a beautiful setting in Pittsburgh. Janice worked with the owners to make the interior warm and cozy for their family.  The great room started with two huge antler chandeliers to set the look and feel the couple wanted. The stunning Marshfield furniture along with cow hide rugs added the softness and texture they needed for the large room.  A custom build wall unit was built to host the TV and coordinate with the kitchen cabinetry.  Live edge black walnut tables were chosen to bring a wood tone contrast to the ceiling and flooring. The kitchen cabinets were designed by Janice with beautiful copper hardware to coordinate with the copper farmhouse sink and range accents. The granite slabs were handpicked for the kitchen countertops and bathrooms. The stunning kitchen stone backsplash and flooring really set off the finishing touches in the kitchen.

The master bedroom suite filled with Aspen log furniture and stunning linens really made the couple feel very comfortable to settle into every night with a relaxing glass of wine. The incredible gray, black and white master bathroom has stunning granite, stone and marble components that will take your breath away. The final touches in lighting, rugs and artwork cinched the feeling of “home” the couple will love forever!

The couple went on the add a theater, a virtual golf room and an inground pool to make their own personal resort right in their back yard.

Minimalistic Modern Home in Ligonier, PA

Minimalistic Modern style captures the essence of leisurely living; lots of light with bright spaces, shadows and reflections, clean lines, calming tones, minimal accents and no excess clutter. Notice how the light moves and the hues subtly change with the opening and closing of blinds, reflecting off of mirrored accents or warming the tones of the room when partially drawn. The living room has no blinds at all, allowing the sun to shine through at will. Similar effects occur at the Grand Canyon while watching the sun recede behind clouds or upon dusk or dawn or high noon.

Interesting angles and color combinations, sleek fabrics and functional choices, this home looks great from every corner, nook and cranny.

The elements of nature are still an inspiration with this design. Small rustic touches appear in the kitchen bar stools and the entrance seating, artwork and flooring. The juxtaposition of dark wood flooring against the sharp white contrast pulls the space together beautifully.

Need design help to achieve the perfect place to come home to after a long day, or a getaway place to retreat to on weekends and holidays? We can help you every step of the way. From space layout, color choices, lighting, furniture purchasing and placement, to cabinetry and flooring.

We can help with your specific style whether it’s rustic, modern or an eclectic combination. Visit our showroom and follow us on Facebook to see what we can do for you!
